Sunny days. Ocean breezes. Sandy shores. Leafy palm trees. With Forrest on vocals and production, and Colin working on writing and arrangements, the pair have increasingly meshed their individual talents into one impressive whole. Frank had heard several songs Padalecki had posted on SoundCloud featuring vocals by his first cousin Alexa, who still provides female vocals for the group. The collaboration continued after both graduated when Forrest moved to Seattle, where the two began recording on his houseboat on Lake Union by Gas Works Park. Posting the collection on TuneCore, the two were unprepared for the strong reaction from listeners, but immediately headed to a lakefront log cabin outside Austin, where they worked on songs for Where the Light Is , which was released earlier this year. Forrest grew up wandering the woods of the Arkansas River Valley. His catchy melodies sung over finger-picked acoustic guitar are matched with his deeply personal lyrics. Honest and raw, listening to his Acoustic album feels like a conversation with a good friend. When Forrest was 15 years old, he picked up the guitar and very soon started writing songs. In , he self-recorded an EP titled "Uninvited Guests" with his band Cove, comprised of himself and two highschool friends. Encouraged by the feedback, he kept writing. In , Forrest released another self recorded album with one of the bandmates, self titled "Fozz and Mike" Forrest's nickname growing up was Fozz.
